OUR   HAVANAS

Our introduction to the Havanas started with a trip to California.  Susan had joined Bill during one of his judging assignments.  After judging a group of Havana Kittens Bill encouraged Susan to go and see them. Making a long story short, Kapalua's  Lady Jane Grey later came to Lansing and she is a permanent member of the Lee household.

It has turned out that all of the kittens in Janey's liter went on to distinguish themselves in the exhibition ring.  Janey was shown in CFA where she attained the status of  Grand Champion, and was third best of breed nationally.  Janey was shown again in TICA and attained the honor of Supreme Grand Champion, and in 2003, second best Havana Internationally.

She has delighted the judges with her fabulous profile and head as well as her wonderful color. One judge commented that they wished they would have her every time they had a trainee to point out what a Havana should look like.

Janey's first litter was two beautiful kittens, a boy Kokopelli and a girl Victoria Hanover. Koko has gone to live with Kathi and Bill Hoos who were instrumental in helping Janey to get bred.  Victoria or Vickie, as we call her, has stayed with us and was shown to her Supreme Grand Championship in TICA.  We are hopeful that she will also be in the Regional winners column for 2004-5.
